Everything you need to know

How & by when do I order?
Just visit our shop and choose your preferred program, with the following cut off times to ensure that you have the freshest product:

  • 21:00 on Friday’s for deliveries the following Monday
  • 21:00 on Monday’s for deliveries the following Wednesday
  • 21:00 on Wednesday’s for deliveries the following Friday.

How to I prepare?
The optimal would be that you stop the consumption of alcohol and caffeinated drinks one week before your program start. Also, it would be great if you could reduce the intake of sugar, refined carbohydrates (such as pasta, cakes, cookies, white bread, alcohol), cheese and red meat.

What do I need to know to start my program?
You will get all the required information in your booking confirmation & welcome email.

How can I pay?
Funds need to be received at least one day before the first delivery. You can either pay by bank transfer, pay-in slip or PayPal. Last minute orders will need to be paid with PayPal as payment receipt before delivery cannot be guaranteed otherwise.

What if I am on medication or if I have a chronicle illness?
Please consult your physician before you start this, or any other, nutrition program. Our dietician contacts clients with a chronicle illness before their program start.

Can I tailor my program?
Should you have any allergy or dislike you can mention up to 2 throughout your booking process. Please note that special requests for the juices cannot be guaranteed.

I need to change my delivery address during my program
No problem, simply let us know in advance, and we will do our best to accommodate your request. Rule of thumb is at least a 24-hour notice to guarantee the change.

Can I stop my program?
Yes, our programs are all about convenience. Hence, you are welcome to pause and restart your meal delivery program at any time with two business days’ notice before the day your box ships out.

How do I return my boxes or bags?
Cooler bags should be returned to our deliverer (leave them outside your door the next delivery) or by mail (we are happy to provide a stamped mailbag as of 4 cooling bags). A scheduled pick-up appointment (charged as single delivery if outside of a program) or a direct drop-off at our office has to be agreed upfront.
We do not take back any Styrofoam Boxes. Therefore, they are for your personal use.

How do I heat my meals?
Your meals come in microwave-safe containers. Just remove the plastic foil (or make some holes in it) and remove any sauce bowl.

In what order do I eat the meals?
You will receive every day your daily menu, which proposes you the eating order, but you can always change it and swap the lunch with the dinner indifferently.

How are my meals prepared, do I need to warm them up?
All our meals are ready to eat. You can heat any meal you like depending. In general, most breakfasts and lunches are eaten cold and can therefore easily be taken to work. However,  dinners should be served hot (to be heated directly in the oven or microwave).

Can I snack?
We highly recommend you not to snack. Additional meals either reduce the detox effect or add (unwanted) calories to your day which will influence your program results. All our programs are designed by our nutritionist to provide you a safe & healthy way to maximize your weight loss. From a nutritional point of view, there is no need to add any snacks or food. If you are unsure about anything or have a particular medical condition, please don’t hesitate to contact us directly.
If you are still hungry, we recommend that your drink a glass of water. Sometimes we mistake our body as it being hungry when in reality it is dehydrated. If you are still starving during the first days of transition, we provide a list of snacks that are less than 150 calories in our recommended snack list, which is available in your Welcome Guide.

Storage Life?
We do not use any preservative. Our meals can be left in the refrigerator for up to 2 days after delivery and up to 4 days for juices.

How do I store my meals?
In a cold, dark place between 2°C to max. 8°C. We highly recommend a fridge to keep the product quality remaining.

What can I drink?
FoodBox: About 2 liters of water (still or sparkling) or herbal tea per day. Please avoid alcohol, fizzy (with or without sugar) and caffeinated drinks to maximize your program effects. If you are staying more than a week on the program you also can have once a while a coffee or cappuccino; please keep away from latte macchiatos, sugar, cocktails. A glass of wine will not entirely ruin your program, but all sugar or lactose products will slow down your metabolism.
JuiceBox: About 2 liters of water or herbal tea per day. No alcohol, fizzy or caffeinated drinks as it will stop your effect.

Do I need supplements during my program?
No, you will not need any supplements besides the ones prescribed by your doctor.

What time should I eat my meals/juices?
FoodBox: You get five boxes labeled with ‘Breakfast,’ ‘Snack,’ ‘Lunch’ and ‘Dinner.’ You can have the meals at your usual eating hours. A good rule of thumb is to eat every 3 to 4 hours and to have the dinner no later than 20:00, optimal would be 19:00 so that your body has 12 hours recovery before your next meal.
JuiceBox: Drink every 2 to 3 hours a bottle of juice. The order of the juices are indicated on the bottle but can be exchanged, if wished.

How do I return my bags and boxes?
Cooler bags will be charged weekly with CHF 10.- in the case of an excessive number of unreturned bags. Bags can be returned by mail (we are happy to provide a stamped mailbag as of 4 bags), with a scheduled pick-up appointment (charged as single delivery), or a direct drop-off at our office if agreed upfront.
Styrofoam Boxes are currently not taken back.

How can I reorder?
Just log on to your account and order one of our programs. You can also drop us an email to info@privatedetoxbox.ch stating your program choice, length, and starting date.

How do I recycle my packaging?
Commercial Compost (in 30 to 90 days): White containers and cutlery
PET recycle Bottles, bottle lids, white and black plastic containers (when sealed).

How long do I need to wait until I can restart a program?
We recommend at least a 7-day break in between to maximize your juice cleanse effect.

How should I break my fasting?
At the beginning of your program, we will provide you with detailed information on how to finish your chosen program.

What to eat after my program?
You will have a pretty good understanding of what you can eat at the end of our programs, as this is part of our philosophy. We will provide you with some tips and ideas at the end of your program personally.
